He may be small in size, but Bernie has a huge personality and an even bigger heart.
Bernie can be a little reserved and shy when meeting new people. However, if you’re willing to give him the time and patience he needs to feel comfortable, you’ll soon discover a loving and affectionate companion who will happily let you into his heart.
A true lap dog, Bernie loves nothing more than curling up beside his favourite person for endless cuddles, tummy rubs, tickles, and neck scratches. Once he’s bonded with you, he’ll be your most loyal shadow.
Bernie also enjoys little adventures and exploring the world around him, especially when he has someone he trusts by his side. He’s a pleasure to walk and does well on a loose lead.
While Bernie can happily socialise with other dogs out and about, we believe he would thrive as the only dog in the home, allowing him to soak up all the love, attention, and affection for himself.
Bernie has previously lived with cats and continues to show positive reactions towards them while in our care. He could happily live with a cat that is comfortable sharing a home with dogs.
